New Fork Lake

This lake is famous for its Scout Camp, but we didn't even go near that side.  We drove in about 5 miles of dirt road to the "Narrows Campground" trailhead.  We rode out about 4 miles along the lake and through some forest until we reached the area where the trail rises quickly and into really rocky areas.  It is a pleasant ride, but with some steep drop offs into the lake.  Has some gorgeous vistas.  Worth doing once if you are in the area of Pinedale, Wyoming.   There is one place with lake access to get the horses into some beach riding.

Total mileage=7.45; Minimum elevation=7,766'; Maximum elevation=8,015'; Ascent/Descent=420'; Trail conditions=70% dirt; some rocky places.  A barefoot horse in reasonably good condition should have no problem.
